Why choose us

Quality:

With Superior Builder, our quality approach to both our renovated homes and new construction homes includes only the most reliable and qualified subcontractors and staff. During construction, our genuine respect and careful consideration for your thoughts, ideas, and concerns provide the peace of mind you need to relax and actually enjoy the excitement of building your own home.

We are always seeking to improve the quality of our homes. Many home builders make this same claim, but we put this into continual practice by constantly analyzing feedback from homeowners and improving our processes. Our process of continual improvement and attention to our homeowners' needs delivers a better-quality home for you at minimal additional cost.

We take a thoughtful approach to the look and feel of your home. Craftsmanship, quality materials, and careful consideration for every room, amenity, and fixture come standard with our homes. You'll notice the difference in the details and the variety of options available for creating a more comfortable, efficient, and beautiful home. Our impressive list of standard features for your home includes brand-name windows and doors, furnaces and air conditioners, plumbing fixtures, and kitchen appliances. Superior Builder continually raises the bar for quality and builds homes that help you realize quick re-sale and a fine return on your investment!

With our Re-habs to Re-fab homes, we put the same New Construction practice to every home we renovate. No corners are cut, and we do our best to attack any and all issues that we may come across. Now in this line of work, opening up a wall is like opening up a can of worms, and we know this. But you can rest assured that if we do find something behind that wall, it will be addressed. The quality products and fittings in the home are the same ones we use in our new construction. What does this mean for you? It means that this renewed home that you are purchasing will often have the best of both worlds: located in a great community, come with manufacturer’s warranties on certain items, and all that is left to do is move in and enjoy! No headaches of painting and ripping out old carpets to make it your own ~ it's there!

True Customization:

Our quality approach is evident from before the building process starts - in the planning and design experience to the team effort of the builders and agents. You'll work closely with us to personalize your home down to the smallest detail in the floor plan, specifications, and product selections.

We work hard to ensure you get the house you want, not just a home we want to sell you. We are here to offer expertise and resources to help guide you every step of the way. For more than 20 years, we've been helping numerous happy customers build their dream homes, and we'll be there for you, too!

We Are Dedicated To Reducing Our Customer's Stress
With the many considerations involved in building a home, good communication is paramount. Our Home Owners Guide is an additional tool and will provide you with a wealth of information to help you through the building process. Items like a Customer selection schedule, samples, photos, and literature on the quality items that go into your home are all at your fingertips to browse AT YOUR CONVENIENCE. Choose from one of our home sites, or we can build on a lot you already own. Tour our finished models or enjoy our virtual tours in the comfort of your own home. Then choose the floor plan that fits your lifestyle, and we'll build your new custom home in six months or less!** Ready to move now? Ask us about our homes for immediate occupancy!
** - This does not include time needed for Town permits

A Great Return on Your Investment
It is a known fact that real estate has proved over the years to be a solid investment. That, coupled with our time-tested designs, craftsmanship, quality products, and upgraded package amenities, makes this a no-brainer. We are also responsible for the construction financing, which eliminates your liability and risk. Unlike some builders who require you to obtain construction financing yourself, interest does not start to accumulate before your home is completed, and you are not liable for the property while your home is being built.

Timeliness:

With Superior Builder, your home is presented to you on time and, in many cases, ahead of schedule. Scheduled at the time of your purchase contract, the final closing on your home occurs only after several walk-throughs have determined that every detail is completed. In most cases (unless the weather is a factor), our final punch lists are minimal and usually are just minor adjustments that need to be made.

Commonly Asked Questions

I am interested in one of your properties. What's the first step?

If you have not spoken to someone with regard to a pre-approval, we suggest that you speak to a trusted Mortgage Consultant to see what you can manage and see what range you feel comfortable in.

If it's a piece of property that piqued your interest, then we would suggest you secure the lot with a deposit. Your deposit locks in the lot for 30 days. In that time frame, we would come up with a floor plan that suits your lifestyle, draft up a contract, and upon signing the contract, begin the permit process on your home.

If it's a home style that you fell in love with, your first step would be to choose a parcel of land that you would like to build on. We will gladly meet you at the site and walk the lots with you answering any questions that you may have. Once you have the lot chosen, as above, we would recommend that you put a deposit on the lot to secure it for you and your family.

How long does it take from start to finish?

It takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on the time of year and weather, to build your home. This does not include the 2-3 months it takes for us to secure all of your permits. Since each home is custom, each septic design needs to be designed according to your specific home. With that being the case, we do not start the permit process until we have your specific home plan and a signed contract. The closing date is also determined by the timeliness of your custom decisions.

How do I find the perfect home for my loved ones and I?

We place the emphasis on you. By first listening to your thoughts, concerns, needs, and ideas and then asking questions and sharing our expertise with you, we'll help you to discover the details of your dream home, from the exterior roofing and trim to the type of fixtures and shade of paint you've envisioned. We emphasize a pre-planning approach to home design. Our goal is to build you a home that will last a lifetime. We can offer you many custom design features and options you won't find when working with larger builders and stock plans. Even if we can't find you the exact floor plan you need, we can either tweak existing floor plans or have you work with an architect to design you exactly what you are looking for.

What kind of choices do I have to build my home?

As you can see from the first step of selecting your lot to create your ideal floor plan, your choices start from the very beginning. We run ads periodically entitled "Create your own masterpiece," and that is truly what you do. We don't limit you like some other builders do with a choice of 4 different tiles, 3 different carpets, and a choice of colors only on your appliances. As part of our service to you, we hand you a Homeowner's Manual upon signing a contract that details all of the choices you have, gives you the contact numbers for the industry professionals that we are associated with, a timeline for making them, allowances you have allocated to you, and also an up-to-date pricing sheet that gives you the investment fee associated with the most popular upgrades. Don't see what you are looking for in our manual? We know that everyone is unique and will work with you to find exactly what you are looking for or at least options in your price range and incorporate them into your masterpiece! And DON"T WORRY ~ we will work with you every step of the way by constantly communicating with you throughout the construction phases and sharing with you information on the status of your home.

Do you require any additional deposits for the construction process?

Yes, we require an additional deposit of 10% upon signing the contract. We can work with you on the payment of the deposit — usually the final payment being before we pour the foundation. This is the only payment we require until the closing date. We finance the remaining 90% of the cost of the home and also the extras. On the day of closing, you can decide to roll your extras into your mortgage or pay for them via certified check.

What are the taxes in East Windsor?

The mill rate for the Town changes every year. For the most current information, please contact the Town of East Windsor’s Tax Assessment office at (860) 623-8878.

Are there any deed restrictions within the development?

In order to keep the integrity of the neighborhood up to par, yes, we have instilled some basic deed restrictions to ensure that the value of your property continues to appreciate. Please contact us, and we will be glad to send you a copy of these restrictions.

Do you have any referrals?

As a state law, each builder is REQUIRED to give you a list of individuals whom they have built a home for in the last year. This is given to you upon your initial lot deposit.

What kind of utilities are there?

We have secured city water with Connecticut Water, septic for either a 3 or 4-bedroom home, natural gas for heating, cooking, and hot water, and all underground utilities.
